Family Dental Practice was established in July 2011. Since then, the practice has grown into a thriving business providing high quality dentistry to the people of Mallow and surrounding areas at an affordable price.
We provide treatment in a comfortable environment and we are committed to giving our patients the tools they need to achieve healthy teeth and gums.
Family Dental Practice is a family-friendly practice and we place a strong emphasis on preventive care for children’s teeth. Our goal is to minimise any necessary treatment in children and give them the knowledge to understand how to protect their teeth throughout their lives.
Dr. Ciara O’ Sullivan opened the practice with family dentistry in mind, providing excellent care to all patients from infants to the elderly.
Meet the team
Dr. Ciara O’Sullivan is a native of Mallow. She graduated from dentistry in University College Cork in 2004 and subsequently completed a Vocational Training program in Edinburgh. On returning to Ireland, she worked in Celbridge and Cobh for a number of years before returning to her hometown of Mallow, where she opened her practice.
Dr. Ciara O’Sullivan attends regular courses and conferences keeping up-to-date with the most recent literature and technologies in dentistry.
Dr. Dearbhla Ryan graduated with honours from University College Cork in 2015. She gained valuable experience working in general practice in Galway before joining the team in Mallow in 2017.Dearbhla is a friendly and caring dentist, and enjoys creating a welcoming environment for all her patients.
She is committed to continual professional development, regularly attending dental lectures and hands on course to ensure she is up-to-date with all the latest treatments.
Emer O’Dwyer is one of our qualified dental surgery assistants, with many years’ experience working in the dental field. She gained valuable experience working for a number of years in a specialist prosthodontic practice in Cork. Emer is there to help if you have any concerns or queries and always has a welcoming smile for our patients.
Rachel Bolster is one of our qualified dental surgery assistants. She is originally from Mallow and since qualifying from University College Cork, she has gained much experience in treating patients and making their visit as comfortable as possible. Her gentle manner helps patients to relax in our friendly environment.
Marie is a valued dental nurse in Family Dental Practice. Marie joined our practice in 2015. She really enjoys her role in putting patients at ease and making their experience in our practice as comfortable as possible.
